M.X. Turner has been writing, recording and performing music his entire life. Starting off as a drummer, Turner has added guitar, bass, keyboards, the Irish bodhrán and harmonica to his toolkit. He's played with 1980s NYC punk band The Service, the hybrid early '90s Diet Tribes, Italian/American Celtic rockers Remember Alice, Irish rock/reggae band The Devil's Advocates, English ska legends Bad Manners, the iconic London/Brooklyn punk originators The Spunk Lads, Seattle political rock outfit RebelMart and punk Americana trio South Sound Tug & Barge.
M.X.'s newest album is New Frontier/Ancient Slab, a New Orleans album with rock, punk, reggae, Cajun, blues, EDM, disco, funk, folk, second-line rhythms, bhangra, country, jazz and gospel fed through Turner's forty years of writing songs and releasing records.
